This quarter horse started treatment on the Vitafloor a month and a half after a serious tendon tear injury. She had initially been cared for at home by her owner (complete stall rest, bute, ice, standing wraps) but she wasn’t healing and her pain and swelling were NOT improving, at which point they decided to bring her to a rehab facility to start Vitafloor treatment. After just a few weeks on the Vitafloor, her swelling was gone and her pain had improved significantly. After just 4 months, she was clinically sound during her vet check and the ultra sound showed that the tendon was almost completely healed, at which point she went back home to continue the healing process. While at the rehab facility, she had been doing twice daily Vitafloor sessions. Initially she was also hand walked 2x a day and then, with the vet’s approval, she was able to spend the rest of her time on the eurowalker which helped keep her sane during her rehab as well as a little toned.
