These images show an 11 year old Quarter Horse with a moderate tear of the medial collateral ligament of the right front coffin joint who was treated twice daily on the Vitafloor. The first image is a sonogram of medial collateral ligament of right front coffin joint displaying an enlarged cross-sectional area and a fresh-appearing core lesion.
The second image was taken 3 months later and according to the veterinarian it shows reduced effusion and reduced synovitis in comparison with the previous examination. He stated that the lateral collateral ligament was normal and there has been a decrease in inflammation in the coffin joint and good granulation in the core lesion of the medial collateral ligament.
