Enhance Horse Health and Performance in Alberta with Vitafloor

Alberta stands as one of Canada’s premier provinces for equestrian life, where the bond between humans and horses runs deep across ranchlands, rodeo arenas, and competitive sport venues. Known for its rich western heritage, Alberta is home to the legendary Calgary Stampede and a vibrant culture of ranching, reining, barrel racing, and working cow horse events overseen by Equestrian Canada and the Alberta Equestrian Federation.

In recent years, the province has also seen a steady rise in English disciplines like dressage and show jumping, with riders and trainers prioritizing equine health, longevity, and performance. Vitafloor proudly supports Alberta’s diverse horse community by offering innovative therapy and training systems that deliver results across all disciplines and riding environments.

Supporting Horse Health Through Alberta’s Harsh Climate

From sweeping prairies to rugged foothills and mountainous terrain, Alberta’s geography is as diverse as its riding styles. Along with this beauty comes a set of serious climate-related challenges, such as long, icy winters, limited pasture turnout, spring freeze-thaw cycles, and dry, dusty summers. Many Alberta barns are forced to train horses indoors for several months a year, which can restrict movement and increase the risk of stiffness, injuries, and metabolic concerns.

Vitafloor provides year-round solutions that help horses stay conditioned, sound, and flexible, regardless of the season or location. With equipment shipping duty-free and tariff-free from Europe, Alberta horse owners can access world-class technology without the added cost.

Vitafloor Solutions for Alberta’s Working and Competitive Horses

Whether you’re managing a herd of ranch horses, consulting the Wild Rose rulebook while prepping for a rodeo, getting ready for a stadium jumping competition, or training high-performance cross-country jumpers through the Alberta Horse Trials Association, Vitafloor helps Alberta horse owners maintain their horses’ health through all stages of life. Our vibration therapy systems are widely used to promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and support musculoskeletal health during periods of box rest or limited activity.

Vitafloor’s conditioning tools also allow barns to train their horses and provide them with safe daily exercise  during harsh weather or muddy, icy conditions—supporting consistent fitness and recovery schedules even in the heart of winter.

Purpose-Built Products for Alberta’s Equestrian Needs

Vitafloor offers a full line of products specifically suited to Alberta’s climate and riding demands:

• Equine Vibration Plates help prevent stiffness, improve hoof growth, and reduce post-exercise soreness during winter months or after hard work on tough terrain. The research is clear: whole body vibration can benefit injured horses and help optimize the health of the conditioned horse.

• Horse Treadmills provide structured cardio workouts during cold or icy days when turnout isn’t safe. Q-Line Treadmills are also essential for injured horses, providing an ideal next step in their recovery process. Treadmills are also a great choice for warm up and cool down sessions.
• Horse Exercisers maintain safe daily movement for horses even in poor footing conditions. Professional horse exercisers from Vitafloor are the choice for many trainers and owners wanting to provide horse rehabilitation and injury recovery without having to use human horse walkers. In addition to not having to use human hot walkers, additional horse exerciser benefits are that they can be used for horse conditioning for one or multiple horses, as well as for daily exercise.

Even large horses can realize a range of health benefits using our free walkers, which can easily accommodate them. Trainers and riders have a number of options for lead walkers. Q-Line offers an HE and LBE version of their lead walker. The FlexRciser oval panel walker is ideal for indoor daily exercise, and we also offer ground-standing walkers for controlled training that builds muscle and improves blood circulation.

All of our exerciser solutions contain features that improve horse exerciser safety, such as emergency stop, control boxes, push gates, reversible direct drive, push fence, and low maintenance.

Those who choose our mechanical walkers can always contact our team for help or advice about horse exerciser installation.

• Arena Safety Walls & Irrigation Systems create safer training environments and improve air quality in dry indoor arenas. Safety walls keep riders and horses safe by creating essential distance from walls during fast and intense training and events. This prevents injury to both horse and rider.
• Roofs & Fencing are built tough to handle Alberta’s snow, wind, and temperature swings. Here, a partial roof just won’t do; our roofs provide shelter in all weather conditions, and reliable fencing protects what you cherish most.
• Sedelogic Pads & Boots deliver targeted comfort and protection for horses in high-impact or long-haul work. Top-quality saddle pads allow horses to benefit from pressure distribution and complete range of motion, while riders can enjoy a comfortable ride.
• HorseLight products support coat condition and internal rhythms during Alberta’s long, dark winters.
